Hello, I'm Sheffie
(like the English city Sheffield without the last two letters)
I'm a second-generation Chinese Australian living in Sydney, and I'm just trying to make this world a better place, one pixel at a time.
A certified UX/UI Designer, I have a background in financial services (insurance, banking), EdTech and consumer products (fashion, e-commerce) with undergraduate degrees in Marketing and IT.
I'm an empathetic designer with a keen interest in business, technology, human psychology and aesthetics, I love to solve interesting problems thinking strategically across multiple disciplines. At the forefront of my practice is balancing user and business needs to create simple solutions that drive impact.
My Story
I started my career in the fashion industry and over 11 years have worked across design, production, product development and planning. This rich experience has equipped me with transferrable skills in creative thinking, problem solving, project management, customer experience and stakeholder management.
In every role that I have been in, the work that I excel at and find the most gratifying is solving problems for end customers no matter how big or small. This realisation serendipitously led me to the world of experience design. Nothing excites me more than being able to design an experience, backed by research, that positively impacts people's lives.
Now I'm on a path to help businesses humanise technology whilst creating usable and beautiful design solutions.

You can find me playing tennis, listening to podcasts, going for morning beach runs or connecting with my community about design, travel, health and business.
I also enjoy reading about biohacking, FIRE investing, entrepreneurship, art & design.
